It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bryan S. Belcher of Sebring, Florida, born in Plant City, Florida, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Hill and Agnes Myrtle Belcher (Barber); his sister Evelyn; and his daughter Vicki Layton. He is survived by: his wife Joy Belcher (Thurmond); his children, Coni Cook (Jay) of Eustis, Bryan H. Belcher (Diane) of Sebring and Shirley Willsey (Alan) of Winter Springs; and his grandchildren, Matthew Cook, Casey Cook, Phillip Layton Jr., Robert Layton, Mason Belcher, Amy Willsey, Hannah Cymny, Benjamin Willsey and Jackson Belcher.
The act of bravery earned him The Carnegie Medal in recognition of an outstanding act of heroism and The Dr. P Phillips Foundation award.
