He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Valentine and Isobel Valentine (Terris); and his sister Rona Williamson. He is survived by: his wife Adrianne; his children, Nick Ewoldt (Jessica) of Big Rock, Iowa and Tiffany Thompson of Sebring, Florida; his siblings, Mike Valentine (Denise) of Sebring, Florida and Gwen Shields (Ian) of Scottland; his brother-in-law Andrew Williamson; and his grandchildren, Mason Thompson, Tessa Thompson, Killian Ewoldt and Connor Ewoldt.
