We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2023, at the age of 87, Ruth Esther Smith of Sebastian, Florida, born in Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Glen Flenner and Nellie Flenner (Wrightsman); her children, Tina Carter (Richard) of Sebastian, FL, Shelley Perry (Timothy) of Sebastian, FL and Connie Moore (Austin) of Washburn, IL; her siblings, Steven Flenner (Sandra) of Dublin, OH, Jean Deall of Alton, IL and Susan Kreitner (Ed) of Alton, IL; her sister-in-law Doris Crawford of Macon, IL; and her husband William David Smith. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and two impending great granddaughters.
