He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Hunter and Robert B. Hunter; his former wife Constance; his siblings, Robert B. Hunter Jr. and Kathleen Hines; and his brother-in-law Arther Hines of Templeton, Massachusetts..
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Coulter Hunter of Sebastian, Florida; his sister Elaine; his siblings-in-law, Donald McKay of Hubbardston, Massachusetts and Shirley of Athol, Massachusetts; his children, Bambi Connoly of Southern, Florida, Wanda Lane of Southern, Florida and James Hunter of Southern, Florida; and his stepchildren, Thomas Coulter (Lindsay Coulter) of Mt. Pleasant and William Coulter of Irmo. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 11 nieces and nephews.
