She was predeceased by: her husband John Orris; and her daughter Kathy. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Lindsay Orris and John Randolph Orris (Linett); and her grandchildren, Brenda, Karla, Stacey, Chi, Bobby, Ryan, Heather and Shawn. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

LaRue continued to be active in her new community organizing countless charity events and social gatherings.
