He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Hallinan and Mary McMickle Hallinan; his brother Daniel Hallinan; his sister-in-law June Hallinan; his sister Claire A. Hallinan; his aunt Annie; and the mother of his children Joan M. Berretto.

He is survived by: his wife Jennie Hallinan; his children, Bill, Chris and Kathleen; his nieces, Sally and Carol; and his nephew John. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
