She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Edward and Lorna Vivian Kliegle (Eveland); her husband Bernard Pettit; her brothers, Walter Kliegle of Oskaloosa and Frank Kliegle (Janet) of Duluth; her children, Harland Pettit, Les Pettit (Olga) and Rita Solana (Bruce); and her grandchildren, Will Whitlow, Ashleigh Brook Pettit, Eric Pettit, Michael Petti, Jennifer Pettit, Krista Solana and Ryan Solana (Cassie). She was also cherished by numerous nieces & nephews.
