She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Johnson and Lilian Johnson; her former husband Donald E. Gerdus; her spouse Larry Lawrence; her children, Richard P. Gerdus, Peggy Gurney and Judy Ackerman; her daughter-in-law Devin Starlanyl; and her granddaughter Ashley Ackerman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Margaret's name may be made to the Hospice of St. Francis.
