She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Barrett and Florence Barrett; her husband Linwood Hurd; and her siblings, Horace, Betty, Bobby, Pearl, George, Slugger, Freddie, Ruthie, Brucie and Mary Jean.

She is survived by: her siblings, Shermie, Vernie, Donnie and Jane; her daughters, Janie Alf (Joe) and Cindy Hoskins; her grandchildren, Shaun (Heather), Justin (Adriana), Dan (Lindsey), Shane (Kara), Ben and Tiffany (Hank); and her great grandchildren, Xavier, Rosemary, Rohan, Malachi, Linwood, Fulton, Sebastian, Nicolas, Maria, Isabella, Jose, Magdelena, Eva, Merrick, Gemma, Hallie, Hayden and Madison. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
