He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elben and Sophie Elben; and his half-brother Klaus (Munich). He is survived by: his wife Rita Elben; his children, Dr. Andreas Dean Elben of Berlin, Germany and Sandra Elben (Thomas); his grandsons, Johannes and Valentin of Wiesbaden, Germany; his stepchildren, Joseph Allen (Shannon) of Novato, California, Kate Allen (Brent) of London, England and Paul Allen of Las Vegas, Nevada; his stepgrandchildren, Noelle, Declan Allen, Sienna and Mia Davis; the mother of his children Helga Elben-Naderhoff; his brother Georg Elben (Friederike) of Bamberg, Germany; and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ranfft and Marcia Giambrone.
