She is survived by: her husband Howard Schapiro; her sons, Michael Schapiro and Ben Schapiro; her daughter-in-law Valentina Ossa Schapiro; her grandsons, Jacob and Noah Schapiro; her sister Helene Freiman; and her brother-in-law Gordon Berne.
