He is survived by: his wife Sandy Gordon; his children, Chris (Mary Beth), Deanna (Wilfrid) and Lee (Jack); and his sister Karen Gordon of Edmonton.

In 2022, delayed one year by the pandemic, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Greece with family where they explored the ancient ruins, enjoyed the cuisine, and wondered at the beauty of the Mediterranean in the company of children and grandchildren.
