It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Patrick Tynan of Sarasota, Florida, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor R. Tynan; his parents, Peter Tynan and Honore Tynan; and his siblings, Jane Gebert, Teresa Sullivan, James Tynan and Eugene Tynan.

He is survived by: his children, Stephen Tynan of Sarasota, FL and Ann Marie Walters (David) of Sarasota, FL.; his grandchildren, Lauren Tingle (Curtis) of Greenville, SC, Iliya Tynan of Dallas, TX and Erin Walters of Denver, CO; and his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Merritt and Frances Tingle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
