We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, Jill Irene Blattmachr Dowd of Sarasota, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jack Dowd; her children, Jayne Dowd, Jon Dowd (Ellen), Jackie Dowd (Jonathan Prince) and Josh Dowd (Angelique); her grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Melissa Dowd, Jill Owen, David Prince, Hemingway and Fox Dowd; her sister Judi Chisholm; her cousins, Warren Boyd, Jonathan and Doug Blattmachr; and her parents, G. Harold Blattmachr and Jessie Rita "Jaye" Rostron.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to womenofresistance.org or to the Sarasota County Public Libraries (see their website for the donation form). When donating, please add a note "In memory of Jill Dowd.".
