It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Pfeiffenberger Luer (Sarasota, Florida), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mather Pfeiffenberger and Ethel Hortense Rodgers Pfeiffenberger; her husband Carlyle Luer; and her siblings, Ella Anschuetz, Mary, Mather, Lucas, Andrew and Franklin Pfeiffenberger.
She is survived by: her children, Jane, Ann Skipper, Carl (Rosa) of Sarasota, William (Melissa) of New Orleans, George of Boynton Beach and Albert (Cassie) of Melbourne, Florida.; and her grandchildren, Cynthia Gries, James Skipper, Jane Cunetta, Christopher, Amy, Dustin, Alexander, Katherine, Eric, Sara, Andrew and William Luer. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
