James Dayton Shaffer Obituary

James "Jimmy" D. Shaffer, 77, passed away on September 17, 2023 in Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his wife, Carolyne; two children, Ryan and Morgan; four grandchildren; younger brother, Robert “Curt”; and others. He is predeceased by second wife, Deborah; brothers, William, Ronald, and Lester.

Jimmy was born in Winter Haven, FL to Cecil and Hilda Shaffer. He was a dedicated and devoted Honor Guard Captain at VFW Post 3233.

Service Information: Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. October 12th, 2023 at 1230 pm.

Celebration of life: VFW at 124 South Tuttle, Sarasota, FL 34237. Army Tank in front. Entrance is in the rear.
