It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bruce Sweeting in Sarasota, Florida, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Kelli Sweeting and Robert Sweeting (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Joshua, Katy, Tyler and Jay; and his spouse Robin Sweeting. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, his extended family, and his friends.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks for donations in his name to the Sarasota Police Foundation.
