He was predeceased by: his daughter Amy; his parents, Thomas Rudolph Haire and Joy Theresa Sanderson; and his sister Barbara Haire. He is survived by: his children, Martin, Carmen, Joanna, David, Kenneth and Wesley; and his sister Jan Gregory. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
