It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank McKay (Sarasota, Florida), who passed away on January 8, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frank McKay to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver McKay and Hettie Dudley McKay; and his siblings, Noreatha Oliver, Willie McKay, Arthur McKay, Leonia Gipson, William Gibson, Bennie McKay-Crummer and Edward Charles McKay.
He is survived by: his wife Elma J. McKay; his children, Angela Myatt, Montel Thomas, Donald McKay, Frank O. P. McKay, Myron Browning, Tyron Deener and Tyson Deener; his sisters, Judy Mabone, Dorothy McKay-Wright, Rose McKay-Regins and Linda McKay Crutchfield; and his nephew Roy Wilson. He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
A wake was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bethel Cme Church (1719 22nd St, Sarasota, FL 34234). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Bible Church (1680 18th St, Sarasota, FL 34234). A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
