He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Pettengill; and his parents, Gerald Pettengill and Marion Pettengill (Clark). He is survived by: his children, Doty Hall (Steve), Amy Pettengill (Bob) and Todd Pettengill (Carrie); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Hall (Aimee), Amanda Schott (Tyler), Hayley Pettengill, Suk Fahnestock and Mae Hedman (Shaw); and his great grandchildren, Charlie Todd, James Patrick, Luke Thomas Schott, Henry Stephen and Samson Boyd Hall.
