With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bert Watkins Jr. of Sarasota, Florida, born in Thayer, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Watkins; his parents, Bert Watkins and Alice Watkins; and his sisters, Lydia Rink, Margaret Blacklock and Sarah Innis.
He is survived by: his children, Sandi Watkins (Willie), Pritchard of Brentwood, Brad Watkins of Placida and David Watkins (Deborah) of Sarasota; his grandchildren, Carl Watkins (Julie), Sarah Pritchard, Enid Watkins, Holleyman (Taylor), Brynn Craig (Aaron), Taylor Watkins, Caitlin Pfeifle and Morgan Tiefenthal (Chris); and his sister Elsie Smith of Glen Carbon, Illinois.. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
