He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Metcalf (Hall) and Robert A. Metcalf of East Hartford; his wife Patricia Ann Metcalf (Mimi); his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Maxine Metcalf; his sister Anne Metcalf; his nieces, Suzanne Leone and Sue Metcalf; and his brother-in-law Edward Clark.
He is survived by: his sons, Rob Metcalf (Sharon) and Gregg Metcalf (Jere); his grandchildren, Merrik Metcalf (Sarah), Bryce Metcalf (Avery), Trevin Metcalf (Jade), Chandler Metcalf (Ricky), Malkolm and Madelynn Metcalf; his great grandchild Mayer Robert Metcalf; his granddaughter Olivia Gillespie (Matt); his siblings-in-law, Sam Leone (Anita) and Diane Clark; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Pizzoferrato (Rudy), Amy Bowles (Bill), Kelly Clark, Jeffery Clark (Missy), Rich Leone and Wisner.
