He was predeceased by: his parents, Pliny Tassin and Emma Ducote Tassin; and his siblings, Joe, Helen, Bobby, Mary Anne and Sidney.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hill Tassin of Joseph's Academy; and his children, Myron, Jr. (Mike), Tim (Debbie), Jay (Brent) and Anne Tassin Winjum (Brent). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He never tired of making new friends from all walks of life, and helping those in need, some with a dental charity he created.
