He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisca and Toribio; and his brothers, Jaime and William. He is survived by: his son Miguel A. Sostre, Jr. (Jennifer); his wife Alicia Sostre; his children, Maritza Collazo and Gilberto Sostre (Zulma); and his grandchildren, Keishla Thomas (Jason), Jessica Collazo (La Trease), Lydia Flores (Juan), Erick Sostre (Nichole), Michael Sostre (Gabriella) and Gabriel Sostre.
