It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maybelle Gay (Sanford, Florida), who passed away on February 16, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Daniel and Bunnie Belle Cassady; and her sisters, Sandra Thompson of Gladys Bass, J. D. and Mary Dunaway. She is survived by: her husband Walter C. Gay; and her nieces and nephews, L. C. Smith of Sanford, FL, Jack Bass of Newport, NC, Dan Dunaway of Bonne Terre, MO, Randall Cassady of Wewahitchka, FL, Roger Cassady of Sanford, FL and Sarah Thompson of Sanford, FL. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
