He is survived by: his wife Barbara Farrell; his brother Lee Blake; his sons, Robert Blake (Joyce), Richard Blake (Kathryn) and James Jr. (Linda); his grandchildren, Matthew, David, Rhyon, Neill, Brent and Tyler; his daughter Pamela Barson (Robert); and his grandchildren, Zachery, Allie, Brittany and Hanna. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
