We are sad to announce that on May 26, 2023, at the age of 95, Gustav Carl Fritz Krayer of Sanford, Florida, born in Manhattan, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Krayer and Katharina Krayer; his former wives, Dorothea Krayer and Charlotte Krayer; and his sister Edie Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Darcie; his daughters, Madeline Heise and Elizabeth Griffin (Neil); his stepchildren, Mike Wirt, Tim Wirt (Lisa Holloway) and Connie Worrell (Brent); his grandchildren, Rachel Nix (Chad), Jameson Heise (Julia), Erik Heise, Paul Griffin, Anna Griffin and Katharina Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Weiland Hosford, Evelyn Heise and Abigail Heise. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Gus always loved flowers, but if you prefer, in lieu of flowers, please contribute to either Ligonier Ministries, which fed him spiritually each day through Tabletalk Magazine, or Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, which provided him over two years of free medication for his Pulmonary Fibrosis, thereby giving him more time with his family.
