He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Hawthorne, Sr. and Cora Grace Smith Hawthorne; and his brother-in-law Edward Scott. He is survived by: his wife Becky Hawthorne of St. George, GA; his sons, Charles Hawthorne, III (Carolyn) of Greenwood, SC, Scott Hawthorne (Michelle) of Greenwood, SC and Ralph Hawthorne (Michele) of Auburn, GA; his siblings, Steve Hawthorne (Kathy) of Abbeville, SC, Roger Hawthorne (Stacy) of Abbeville, SC and Susan Scott of Elberton, GA; his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Emily, Brook, Chase and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Mila and Layla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
