He was predeceased by: his wife Judith A. Martin; and his great grandchild Jenieve Merritt. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandi (Dean Hickman) and Elizabeth Butler of San Mateo; his sisters, Judith Warner of Chincoteague, VA and Diane Hewitt of Saxis, VA; and his grandchildren, Ronald Merritt, Jr. and Christina Merritt. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
