With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Garrett West (Saint Petersburg, Florida), born in Danville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey West and Gail West. He is survived by: his wife Leigh; his daughter Valerie Patterson Dee (Lanny); his pets, Sunny and Prissy; his brother Kenneth West; his nephews, Evan and Mason West; and also, Margaret, Brett and Tammy. He is also survived by Four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
In 1968 Tom received a special Citation for contributions to the United States pioneering space programs of projects Mercury and Gemini.
