He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Cole and Doris Cole (Bob); and his grandson Nicholas Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Whitworth (Ellie); his children, Lynn Cole Guinta, Bobby Cole (Wendy) and Michael Cole; his grandchildren, Aaron Bond (Virginia), Desmond and Alice Cole; and his great grandchildren, Kai Bond, Xavier, Omari Cole, Destiny and Malcolm Arnold.
