With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Smith Ponessa in Saint Petersburg, Florida, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on June 4, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Worde and Mary Elizabeth Kelley Smith. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Ponessa; her children, Dr. Leslie Arroyo Robins (Edwin) and Joseph Ponessa; her grandsons, Nicholas Arroyo (Morgan) and Anthony Arroyo (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Giuliana, Vivian and Penelope; and her son Jeff Ponessa.
