He was predeceased by: his parents, William John Patrick and Florence Dobson of Dearborn, Michigan.; and his brothers, John Patrick "Jack", Donald and Gerald Dobson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Dobson; his brother Robert "Bob" Dobson; and his children, Michael (Sarah), Kevin (Melissa), Mickey (Krystel) and Lori. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
