She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Leadelle King and Robert William King; her siblings, Bill King and Shirley Metcalf; and her grandson Anthony Cary-Liggett.
She is survived by: her husband Joel Scot Cary; her siblings, Mary Spradlin, Richard King and Roberta Hair; her daughters, Nita Melancon, Tami Edsall, Beth Cary, Tina Pinto and Sara Cary-Liggett; her grandchildren, Brian Messick, Jessica Messick-Faircloth, Christopher Jackson, Joseph Scarano, Drew Melancon, Jordan Pinto and Leo Melancon; and her great grandchildren, Jeffery Tierman, Samantha Jackson, Alex Jackson, Olivia Langford, Cynthia Faircloth, Jordan Scarano and Joseph Thomas Scarano IV. She is also survived by five daughters and were blessed with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
