He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Harvey Sjaarda; his wife Dawn Sjaarda (Applehof); his mother Sunny Sjaarda (Verdi Stacy); and his siblings, Vickie Sumner-Sjaarda (Eric), Stacy Sjaarda Grossman (Hal), Jim Sjaarda (Julie), Marcia Applehof, Jeff Applehof (Mary), Pam Cameron (Mike) and Craig Applehof (Marlo). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
