He is survived by: his daughter Sandra "Sandi" Jakel (Russell Frisch) of Raymond, IA; his granddaughter Melissa "Missie" Jakel of Cedar Falls, IA; and his siblings, Robert of Cedar Falls, IA, Michael (Christine) of Houston, TX and Coleen Ackerman of Shellrock, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
