She was predeceased by: her parents, Berta Deglmann and Antonin Cermack; and her husband Ferdinand Franz. She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Michael G. Franz (Janice), Christopher G. Franz (Sandra) and Steven G. Franz (Rick); her grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Megan, Allison and Emily; her sister Ingrid Deglmann; and her siblings-in-law, Karin, Elfriede and Dietmar. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
