He is survived by: his spouse Dana Byers; his children, Jody Byers (Sue Ellen), Blaine Byers (Pauline), Tara Powell (Matthew), Lindsay Anderson and Kathryn Byers; his stepson Foster Sparks (Sierra); his grandchildren, Jennifer Byers, Zachary Byers (Katilyn), Shelby Byers, Bria Powell, Ava Powell, Liam Powell, Dean Sparks and Luke Sparks; his great grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Halee Mims, Lily Mims, Jaxson Byers and Easton Byers; and his sister Betty Sue Sowell (Wendell). He is also survived by nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and his work family.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude the Apostle Cathedral (5815 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710).
