He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marion Woods and Joseph Woods; his wife Lee Woods; his children, Karen Barwick (Peter Askes), Joseph Steele (Colleen) and Stephen Steele; his grandchildren, Ryan Barwick (Christine Petrosky), Brennan James Barwick, Caroline Weaver (John), Stephanie Steele and Allison Steele; his great grandchild Virginia Weaver; his brother Rev. Joseph Woods; and his nieces, Laura and Linda Woods.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to Suncoast Hospice Mid Pinellas in appreciation for the loving care given to Jim and his family in his final days.
