He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Slade and Cora Slade. He is survived by: his wife Faith Slade; his close friend Rick Williams of St. Augustine; his sons, Rickey Largen (Roy Largen) of Hastings, Florida and Kelly Williams (Haylie Williams) of Palm Coast; his granddaughter Emma Williams of Palm Coast; his sister Sharon Slade of Hendersonville; and his friends, Sunny and Jim Matthews of Arden.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Community Hospice in Steven's honor.
