He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertis Lee and Nellie Rose McCumbers; and his sisters, Lola Mae and Elizabeth Annaruma. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Gillis McCumbers of Lyons, GA; his brother Preston McCumbers of Aline, GA; his mother-in-law Clarsia Coleman Gillis of Vidalia, GA; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Palmer of Vidalia, GA, Tammy Vaughan of Lyons, GA, Jerry Bird (Evie) of Orland, GA and Doug Gillis; his nephew Joe Annaruma (Dianne); his stepchildren, Shelly Pruitt (Eric) of Midville, GA and Ken Wilkes of Higgston, GA; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Gia, Summer and Easton. He is also survived by daughters, additional grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
