We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2024, at the age of 88, Leon Harrell Smoak (Saint Augustine, Florida), born in Hiltonia, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his daughters, Allison Pearsall (Chuck) of Charlotte and Adrianne Frederick (Brent) of Columbia; his granddaughters, Claire and Corinne Pearsall; and his sister-in-law Betsey Folkner.

Contributions in memory of Coach Smoak may be made to The Boys and Girls Clubs of America or the Gates County High School Athletic Booster Club.
