He is survived by: his wife Christine Thompson; his children, John Thompson Jr. (Dawna) and Suzan Aboutaeib; his grandchildren, Diana Smith (Kevin), John Thompson III (Rachel), Zachary Thompson and Zoey Thompson; his great grandchildren, Brice Thompson and Maverick Thompson; and his brothers, David Thompson and James Thompson (Bob).
