He was predeceased by: his parents, James Twyman Tanner Sr. of Douglas, Georgia. and Leila Young Tanner of Douglas, Georgia.; his parents-in-law, Patrick and Dorothy Murphy; his brother-in-law Gary W. Williams, Sr.; and his great-niece Neely Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine "Lorry" Tanner; his children, Amanda Survant (BJ) of Hawkinsville, Jamie Holmes (Lewis) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Kristi Link of St. Augustine and Kevin Palmer (Angie) of Milan, Georgia.; his siblings, Jack Tanner of Ellaville, Angela Meeks (John) of Douglas and Juliane Williams of Hawkinsville; his siblings-in-law, Edward Badner (Patti), Michael Badner (Gloria), Andrew Badner (Jenna) and Dolores Wilhelm (Scott); and his grandchildren, Grant Roberson (Kristen), Tanner Roberson, Dalton Richardson, Abigail Richardson, Matthew Palmer, Jaci Palmer, Jaiden Holmes, Addison Palmer and Kayla Holmes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memorandum of Jimmy Tanner to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Center.
