Jacob Lee Sauer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jacob Lee Sauer of Saint Augustine, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2024 at the age of 37. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Gary Lee Sauer; his uncle Steven Dennis; and his grandparents, Richard Eugene Dennis, Butch and Odessa Sauer.
He is survived by: his mother Deborah Ann Dennis of Palm Coast, FL; his grandmother Sally Ann Dennis of Ottawa; his sister Jeniel Lynn Skinner (Jeff); his nephews, Antoine Brown III, Elijah Brown and JaVari Skinner; his uncle James Richard Dennis (Colleen); and his aunts, Denise Deckard and Diana Dennis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Ottawa (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Oakwood Memorial Park (2405 Champlain St, Ottawa, IL 61350). With changes in life after 31 years of being able to stay at home, he became a resident at Calhoun County nursing home in Saint Matthews, SC, at the time of Covid. He beat the odds when he had Covid, and was transferred to Florida in St Augustine health and rehab, where he spent the last three years of his life before his illness took over and the final battle was lost.
