He is survived by: his wife Lindsey Calhoun Smith; his children, Richard H. Smith, Robin L. Shaw (Kent), Roger E. Smith (Monica), Renee Smith Mader (Michael), Rhonda Smith Welz (Eric), Robert Fulton (Janet) and Ryan Whelan (Kyung-Ah); his grandchildren, Jessica, Ben, Mark, Randall, Kyle, Landry, Cohen, Zachary, Tia (Kyle), Ella, Zoe, Olivia, Andrew, Anne and Abby; his great grandchildren, Mikylie, Gabrielle, Aubrey, Fisher and Atlas; and his cousin Donna Smith Wood.
