It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Owen Kelbert (Saint Augustine, Florida), born in Gainesville, Florida, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though George Owen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George Owen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne (Patton); and his sister JoAnn (Chick). He is survived by: his sons, David (Ellen), Michael (Bettina), John (Regina), Jeffrey (Sabrina) and Joseph (Patricia). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Anastasia Catholic Church (5205 A1A S, St. Augustine, FL 32080).
