He is survived by: his children, Cindy Knoess (Allan Knoess), Lindy Sliman (Edward Sliman) and Raymond Peters (Wendy Peters); and his pet Kindle. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a pet shelter of choice in Gene's honor.
