With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Straub Sheeler (Saint Augustine, Florida), born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2025 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her sister Mary. She is survived by: her husband Donald Sheeler of St. Johns, FL; her daughter Emily McCarthy (Raymond); her siblings, Theresa Curry of Crozet, VA, Margaret Hockman (John) of Accident, MD and Bernie Straub (Linda) of Folly Beach, SC; and her grandchildren, Ella, Sophie, Conor, Ronan, Kyle and Alison McCarthy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.
