It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy L. Scott of Ruskin, Florida, born in El Paso, Texas, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, MSgt Kenneth LeRoy Scott and Virginia Louise Nelson Scott; and his brother Jeffery William Scott. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Scott; his son David Scott; his stepchildren, Ernesto Garcia (Barbara), Eric M. Garcia (Katya) and Chrissy Nieves (Jose); and his siblings, Pam Kestler (Paul), Roxanne Scott, Rhonda Newell (Derrick) and Rick Scott (Sue). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Southern Funeral Care and Cremation Services, Inc. (10510 Riverview Dr, Riverview, FL 33578). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Southern Funeral Care (10510 Riverview Dr, Riverview, FL 33578). The inurnment was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
